For contracted clients we operate a 24/7/ engineer support & breakdown cover, in order to help out and get your escalator/walkway back into service as soon as possible.
SERVICING
The servicing and maintenance of all escalators/walkways should be undertaken on a regular basis in order to ensure that all parts and mechanisms are operating correctly. Ensuring your escalator systems are serviced regularly will undoubtably reduce the amount of down time, reduce the possibility of major repair work in the future and therefore also reduce the cost of running any escalator or walkway.
REPAIRS
Our repair services range from changing a comb-plate to full refurbishment/modernisation of any escalator or walkway (which can include such things as re-chains, drive replacements, handrail replacements, step/overhaul replacement and fire-preventative clean-downs).
On any machines for which we have a maintenance contract, we will endeavour to carry out any minor repairs during our routine maintenance visits. This reduces the "down time" of the machines and therefore the cost and inconvenience to our customers.
HANDRAILS
We employ handrail specialist engineers to carry out the repairs and replacement of all types of escalator and moving walkway handrails. We also hold in stock 100s of metres of handrail for all types and makes of escalators and walkways.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CLEANING
Escalators and Walkways clearly must be kept, both internally and externally, clean and free of any debris, for aesthetic and health & safety reasons.
This service will ensure that your escalators and lifts look as good as they should, whilst being free of any debris on the inside (which could be a flammable risk or cash damage to the internal components).
PARTS SALES
We can provide spare parts for all makes & models of escalators and walkways.
We hold an extensive list of parts in stock that are available for next day delivery throughout the UK.
In the case of older machines, where parts may be more difficult to source, we offer a service in which existing components are refurbished to the highest possible standard. Alternatively, we can arrange for parts to be custom made should no other option be available.
ESCALATOR REMOVALS
Airedale Escalator Services offer expert escalator removal that complies with all local legislation and strict Health & Safety guidelines. Comprehensive Method Statements and Risk Assessments are supplied as a matter of course for each contract.
If you need an escalator or walkway removed, whether due to end of life or relocation to another site or purpose, we can provide safe and efficient removal.
The removal process is quite complicated and extensive and is supervised by one of our highly experienced Senior Management Team. To ensure a smooth removal, all steps are well planned in advance in order to reduce the amount of disruption at the place of work.
